Exterior of Faverges-de-la-Tour

The château is a true compendium of French history. Almost certainly built on Roman foundations, the first ‘château’ was erected in 1210. It was restored under Bonaparte by Bresson the architect, who added a stately touch set off by a rather Baroque style.
